About the author…

After the 2024 rally we had made a plan. We wanted to take a trip out for days on motorcycles , pack all the gear for and a few tools and our cooler. Kept it simple just 2 pants long johns shirts hoody and rain jacket and even a new leather jacket for the trip. We left on a Tuesday and came back on a Tuesday 2200 miles we went. Deadwood over to Cody Wyoming for 2 nights. We packed up and kept putting miles down and made it to Livingston, Montana and got a free stay being the first motorcycles to make it up their windy hilly and rocky drive. It was brutally cold we basically made camp in the cold wind thought we were gonna bet blown away that night. When we got up we made fire to stay war and get goin on our way to warmer weather. Ended up in Swan Valley Idaho for 2 nights which weren’t to bad at all, just a chill in the morning and sunshine the rest of the way. We headed out on our last leg to make a stop at Ten Sleep. Seen a lot of Yellowstone, Grand Tetons and as much else along the way that we could.

In the midst of all the rallies and trying to build the bikes I really want. Little fishing and mushroom hunting or cooking burgers on river rock while the water raises making a. fire over water. The 4th year was a little different I just finished a top end build and had issues one being a leaking sender unit turned to cracked block. Pulled it apart and got a better look at it in the midst of that and the top end. Live and learn improperly set the push rod tubes and had a continaul leak I couldn’t understand. So with thr issues starting anfd worse and not all the tools needed I wasnt gonna let that stop my trip so I bought me a 2024 Nightster special. Its different and I wanted another sportster if anything but I can get used to this kinda fun

Little work done to the 88 bat case I picked up. The third year ended up seeing the Badlands and meeting 2 Lane Life/Thrashin Supply Company in downtown Deadwood.

The second year my buddy already sold his house and moved out by March to Deadwood. The 2nd year was a little different with him knowing all the local spots and best hikes and views thats hard to find in the Black Hills in just 7 days.

The first trip out to sturgis my buddy my dad and me. We trailed the three bikes and put all the gear in the trailer we could. took us 18 1/2 hours the first time. We stayed at Bear Butte campground. 6 days there and headed home and decided to tear my 98 down in the basement. As Im working on the bike my buddy Jade rode up to hangout and ended up giving me a number to pick up another for dirt cheap.

This is what has now become my new passion of creating. I decided to take the leap after the 2021 rally. I always wanted to learn and thought it was out of my capabilities. Well after several incidents of where I could of been injured or worse, I chose to pull apart my first bike and learn on 1998 Harley Davidson Sportster and rebuild the entire top end. Once taken apart I decided to put it in my basement for the winter and rebuild it and repaint everything. I then completed this and it has been to the 22′ and 23′ rally successfully. I might of had my air cleaner fall off, but other than that its rode like a dream. After the success of the rebuild I was then ready to buy my second bike complete ground up rebuild with a little more customization whilst I get to ride still.
